Summer links to Fall
My mid August mood is dominated by the feeling of summer quickly slipping away. I save my summer vacation for this time and look forward to time with family at the beach. Right around the corner is September and the beginning of Fall jewelry shows. I look forward to returning to Summit NJ Arts and Cars Festival on September 17th where you can meet me and see my work in person.
I have been very productive this summer filling out my collection with new pieces to show this Fall, but today I would like to talk about how my new Secure Attachment chain will provide the link to how to wear many of my pieces together. The oxidized silver squiggle shapes are joined together with a center of 14K gold. The chain is silky and substantial and can be worn alone or with pendants linked to the squiggles or handmade closure.
While this chain is the newest one, I adore making linked jewelry. I have link bracelets and necklaces in the collection that are created with soldering that creates a permanent bond between links. I absolutely love making chain this way and have perfected my connection soldering over years of practice. Best of all the result is a heirloom piece of jewelry meant to last a lifetime and beyond. I’ve added a category to my website called handmade chain so you can shop the linked pieces in one place.
To me links are the centerpiece of a collection and provide a backdrop to attach pendants and use in layering. Count on me to keep making interesting chain that is like no other. The Secure Attachment chain is a joyful expression of loving relational bonds and I suggest you come out to my next show to explore how you can use link chains to create your unique art jewelry combinations.
